RUN SANTA RUN!
Race entry is now open for the Brighton Santa Dash 2012 in aid of Pass It On Africa.

This event is managed by our friends at InMotion Sport who cover all the costs, most of which are recouped by your entry fee. All runner fundraising goes to Pass It On Africa. We are hoping to raise £3,800 this year which equates to approximately £8 sponsorship per runner. £3,800 will enable us to complete the build of the Fresh Start Skills Centre in the Gambia in time for its scheduled opening in January 2013.
So far Pass it On Africa have awarded £58,880 to the Fresh Start Skills Centre project. A further £3,800 will allow Pass It On Africa to finish the project by funding:
Flooring - £1,100 Gravel, Sand and cement
Painting - £760 Lime wash , wall paint , wood polish, floor paint
Electricity connections - £1,137 All wires, cables, ceiling fans and lights bulbs
Plumbing work including toilets and sinks - £800
The essential elements of the centre will be education, vocational training, farming, employment and emotional support. Community liaison and support for care givers of orphans will also be established. Upon completion children and young people will access the skills centre which will enable them to obtain education and training.
